It's a very delicious breakfast very famous in Indore and Mumbai Maharashtra everyone loves this chatpata masala poha (Kanda Poha Recipe) just try it once everyone loves this recipe its very common breakfast dish in India it's kind of quick dish easy to make with delicious taste today I make this recipe hotel or restaurant-style it is origin in Maharastra in Marathi people knows as Kanda poha in Indore mostly people love with poha with jalebi it tends to be spicy its Indian dish mostly prepared in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat In Nagpur Maharashtra mostly Tari poha is famous.

Kanda Poha Recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 Table Spoon Oil
  • 1 Chopped Onion
  • 1 Bowl Poha
  • 2 Green Chili
  • Chopped Coriander leaves
  • 1/4 cup peanuts
  • 1 small potato
  • Salt(as needed)
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 100-gram Poha (pressed Rice)
  • 1/2 Sugar
  • 5 to 6 curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • lemon juice(optional)
  • vegetable(optional)

How to make Kanda Poha Recipe Step by Step

1. wash the poha in a big bowl or any utensil. make moised don't make poha mashed.
2.keep a pan in gas turn on the flam heat the pan and put the oil in the pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and green chilies and curry leave also.
3. Add onion into a pan cook until its golden brown add peanuts
and salt and turmeric powder and sugar mix it well saute for 2-3 minutes after that add the poha.
4.mix poha and masala very well and cook poha for 5-7 minutes.
5. turn of the flam add coriander leaves in the poha now poha is ready for serve to keep it out in a serving plate and add Indore sev and other namkeen put some lemon juice and enjoy with tea.

Tips:-

  • 1. Do not wash poha too much. only pour water for 2 minutes. and make poha fluffy.
  • 2. Always choose offwhite colour poha for better taste.
  • Do not use very thin poha otherwise its mashed.
  • For proper mosied sprinkle a little drop of water in the pan when you add poha in the pan.
  • Use boiled potatoes for making poha
  • use roasted peanuts in poha.
  • always keep a flam in medium otherwise poha is not made fluffy.
